Hotel Alicante Gran Sol, Affiliated By Melia

A lovely way to end my trip. Impeccably clean accommodation, caring staff. Extremely convenient hotel in Alicante, amazing location right at Rambla Mendez Nunez. Walking distance to the train station, just 15 minutes. Good sized and well laid...  

This was my 2nd stay, they offered premium room on the balcony. Efficient and polite staff and everything was perfect.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage in der Naehe des Strandes und ist leicht zu erreichen. Das Fruehstueck war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit im Hotel war auch in Ordnung....  

location of the hotel is very good, magnificent, next to the promenade. I recommend a room on a high floor, on the 15th-20th floors, for example, because they allow a spectacular panoramic view of the port and promenade by the sea....  

The location was great and beautiful, 10 min walk from bus station. Thoroughly enjoyed the nearby Soho parc, they had my favorite coffee...

It's very well located. Less than 5 minutes from the beach, from the main restaurants. Even a 10 minute walk from the AVE station. The breakfast is very good and varied. The charming staff.

It's nice to have candy and cookies at the reception. But it's totally unhygienic for them to be in bulk. Who knows who and how gets their hands on the jars. . . Being a beach hotel but without a swimming pool, we need a comfortable place where you can wash and change if you go out in the afternoon and no longer have the room. . If they come to make the room and in that moment you are in it, they leave you a little paper as "you have lost the opportunity". We had to go downstairs to ask for a change of hand towels at least. Being a four star hotel, I was expecting a bottle of water as a courtesy and that they had shampoo. They have a generic gel/shampoo that is not good for your hair.

Staying in a higher-level superior room offered jaw-dropping views of the castle and marina. The breakfast was a standout, with a good selection of fresh croissants, bacon, and fruits. A lovely gesture from the reception with a food bag for our early checkout reflected their attention to guest comfort.

Wonderful view of the marina/harbour. Superb value for money for a 4-star hotel. Great location for beach and also nearest shops, tourist information etc.

Not much night life in the hotel - for a late drink etc.

The location was perfect for what I wanted, excellent breakfast and most of the staff were pleasant.

some times there was a nasty smell in my rooms........ loved the sea front......unfortunately as I was walking the beach there was a dead rat on it I diden't feel so good when I saw it......  

The location to the beach and shops, also plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. The room was comfortable and clean. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. It was also convenient for the airport bus....  

Totally recommend for a brief sojourn

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location, with friendly staff who provided excellent service and a delicious buffet breakfast that offered a variety of choices to start the day right. We also appreciated the easy access to the tram...  

Delighted with hall, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. Very spacious. Breakfast great.

Should have information available about buses, trams trains and surrounding areas. Also trip that can b e taken.

Family vacation with some hiccups

We had room 2202, spacious and offered a great view. The breakfast spread was pretty solid, plenty of choices, just what you need to start the day right.

The fantastic view of the old town,castle and marina.The proximity to the old town,bars and restaurants.

The reception staff could be more welcoming.
